BOOMSLANG played their way into yet another Championship Game this past weekend - this time at the Zero Gravity NY Big Time Challenge! After an exciting three game sweep of their three qualifying games in Rockland County, NY against Northeast Elite, Rockland Spartans and Born Leaders Basketball - an effort that featured a ten-point comeback in a thrilling game one victory against Northeast Elite and a last second lead change in the final minute against Born Leaders in game three - our fourth grade girls and their many supporters were ecstatic to find their way into the Finals at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT!
It was all hands on deck as we looked to take home the Big Time Challenge Championship. Tied at the half, in yet another tight game for us in a very competitive field this past weekend, the girls competed and battled their way to the final buzzer in front of their most attended game of the season including many friends, parents, family from as far as three hours away, even Cos Cob School's principal Kerry Gavin came out to support his students, and more - and they all could not have been more proud of the team.
