We're excited to share the first 'Nice Shot!' photo feature of the spring season with you today - and what a start to spring it's been!
Typically speaking, you don't simply put a new roster together, get in the gym a handful of times, then walk into your first tournament and earn your way into the championship game. However, this weekend one of our BOOMSLANG teams made the trip to Hartsdale, NY for Zero Gravity's Empire State Showdown, competed together for the very first time and did exactly that!
Fall saw the program win the Zero Gravity Connecticut Showdown Championship and winter league featured an exciting run to the Final Four. If that didn't get the rest of the region's attention, this past weekend's BOOMSLANG performance certainly did. Four intense match-ups over the course of two days in pursuit of tournament title in a division including rivals such as Northeast Elite and Born Leaders Basketball, BOOMSLANG made a statement by earning their way to the Finals and we can't wait to see what comes next for this impressive group of players!
The girls played with great determination, teamwork, hustle and effort from the opening tip to the final whistle in all four games this weekend and local photographer Larry Blucher was on-hand capturing some of the best moments of Saturday's Day 1 of the tournament.
