In their second tournament championship opportunity of fall in just as many weeks, our 4th Grade girls team followed up their impressive results from last week by putting in another gritty performance in a tournament Finals! This time in the Zero Gravity Rumble for the Ring: New York!
Today's edition of our photo feature, 'Nice Shot!', features exciting moments from the girls' outstanding play this past weekend accompanied by a play-by-play broadcast of the girls competing in the tournament finals!
On Day 1 of the tournament, the girls finished the day with an even record of 1-1 including an impressive back and forth battle with our crosstown rival. At the end of the game, you could tell they understood this group is for real and will be a force to be reckoned with all season long and beyond! Only one Greenwich team would advance and after Sunday's play it was clear, BOOMSLANG would move on to represent Greenwich in the Championship Game leaving teams such as Born Leaders Basketball, Empire Youth Athletics and others on the outside looking in.
The girls battled Connecticut Elite in the title game, a thrilling rematch of their day 2 head-to-head match-up in front of a raucous crowd and you can hear all of the exciting action here, on our official play-by-play broadcast, 'The BOOM Mic' with announcer Justin Gallanty on the call!
